Doja Cat Hints at Fifth Album With Preview of New Tracks

Doja Cat treated fans to a sneak peek of her upcoming fifth album via Instagram on Friday night (March 28).

The rapper-singer, who’s planning to release her next project, Vie, before the end of the year, hopped on Instagram Live to share some song previews with her Kittenz. One track had a ’90s R&B vibe while another came across as more of a pop ballad, and at one point during the session, Doja teased her followers by scrolling through the tracks.

Doja’s next album follows her 2023 release, Scarlet, which featured singles “Paint the Town Red,” “Agora Hills” and “Demons.” This year, the Los Angeles native has appeared on “Born Again” with Lisa and Raye, as well as “Just Us” with Jack Harlow, which dropped earlier this month.

“I’ve been wanting to do a song with Doja for four or five years,” Harlow told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “So this is an important moment to me because I think she’s super important and super talented, just a very gifted individual. I’m really happy with how much enthusiasm she put into the song.”

Earlier this year, Doja hinted at a Valentine’s Day drop for Vie, which means “life” in French, but since that holiday has come and gone, fans might need to wait a bit longer for the project to arrive.
