Adin Ross’ Twitch Account Apparently Freed After 2-Year Ban

Adin Ross has gotten his Twitch account back, according to reports.

The 24-year-old streamer’s profile has been reactivated after getting kicked off the platform back in February 2023. While Ross hasn’t officially addressed the news yet, he’s already dealing with a major blow.

Ross’ Twitch follower count has been completely wiped and he’s only managed to rack up around 59,500 followers at the time this was written. According to Insider Gaming, Ross had reached a massive 7.2 million Twitch followers before the ban hammer came down.

It’s still up in the air whether Twitch will eventually give him back his original follower numbers.

A Twitch rep told Dexerto that Ross got banned two years ago because of “unmoderated hateful conduct” happening in his chat.

During a February 2023 stream, Ross allegedly showed messages from his Kick channel for more than 20 minutes without moderation that contained racist and antisemitic content that he neither spoke against nor took down, breaking Twitch’s community guidelines.

When it happened, Ross claimed the ban came “for no reason” and quickly jumped ship to Kick.

Just last week, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy explained on the Patch Notes podcast that streamers with indefinite suspensions can apply to come back after six months, depending on how serious their violation was.

Ross recently dropped hints that his Twitch ban would be lifted by the end of March. Whether he’ll fully return to the platform is still anybody’s guess.
