Luenell said sorry to Pete Davidson following an awkward encounter.
During Wednesday’s episode of Netflix’s Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney, the 61-year-old comedian slid her hand up Davidson’s leg (who’s 31) while guests were wearing blindfolds for a segment.
The moment apparently created an “uncomfortable” atmosphere for everyone on set.
Luenell has now shown remorse for the incident in a statement to People, saying, “I admit, I was tickling Pete’s leg during a segment of Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney; however, I did not mean to make Pete uncomfortable. I sincerely apologize. It was all done in jest.”
She further remarked, “I hope Pete will forgive me, and I’m still willing to go out on a date with him if he so chooses. And I promise I won’t touch him again unless he wants me to!”

A spokesperson for Luenell also told the magazine she never meant to make Davidson “uncomfortable” during the show, adding she “was just being playful.”
The awkward moment came after Luenell’s earlier cracks about the King of Staten Island actor’s dating record, which includes relationships with Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande. She then teased Davidson about his knack for “continuously pull all these bad bitches,” including his current girlfriend Elsie Hewitt.
She then suggested he should take her out on a date, to which Davidson responded, “If that’s what it takes to stop this, yeah.”
An insider revealed to People that Davidson had no problem with jokes about his romantic history and was having a good time on the show until the uncomfortable interaction happened.
“The whole set felt uncomfortable,” the source said. “It was really inappropriate, but Mulaney stepped in and kept things going. Pete played along in the moment because he didn’t want to derail the live show.”
They continued, “People believe they can treat Pete differently and view him as fair game for these ‘jokes’ because of their perception of him, but it was just wrong and shows an unfortunate double standard. Fans clearly agreed and noticed it right away.”
