Playboi Carti’s ‘MUSIC’ Tops Billboard 200 for Second Week Running

Playboi Carti’s MUSIC keeps raking in huge numbers.

The rapper’s newest album held onto the #1 position on the Billboard 200 chart for a second consecutive week with 131,000 equivalent album units, according to Billboard.

The album got a boost from a deluxe edition, MUSIC – Sorry 4 Da Wait, which dropped on Tuesday with four additional tracks.

During MUSIC‘s second week, streaming equivalent units (SEA) made up 124,000 of its total, with 171.02 million on-demand official streams. While it sold 7,000 copies, Billboard didn’t mention its track equivalent units (TEA).

Carti’s latest project debuted with the year’s biggest opening week for any rap album.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s joint album I Said I Love You First landed at #2 with 120,000 equivalent album units. This marks Gomez’s seventh top 10 album and Blanco’s first-ever.

Other previous #1 albums in the chart included Kendrick Lamar’s GNX at #3, Partynextdoor and Drake’s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U at #4, and SZA’s SOS at #5.

Completing the top 10 were Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, Lady Gaga’s Mayhem, Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Tate McRae’s So Close to What, and Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time.
