Young Thug Claims Young Scooter ‘Got Shot,’ Contradicting Official Autopsy Findings

Young Thug is challenging the official findings on what killed Young Scooter.

The rapper shared his own theory on X Tuesday, writing: “Autopsy came back Street got shot,” referring to Scooter’s nickname “Street.”

Future also weighed in on the autopsy findings, posting: “I can hear you loud and clear my brother (street)…we got u kid.”

Young Scooter’s death was ruled an “accident” according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s report released earlier this week. It states the rapper died after a wooden piece punctured his right thigh, causing massive blood loss. The report specifically mentions that the injury was not a gunshot wound and that Scooter “injured himself on organic (wooden) fencing material or woody debris” while jumping over at least one fence.

Following Thug and Future’s posts, Atlanta Police issued a statement addressing the inaccurate claims circulating about Scooter’s cause of death.

“While we understand that many people are saddened by his passing, it is important to recognize that Atlanta police officers neither discharged their firearms nor used any force against Mr. Bailey,” the department stated via X.

Scooter died on his 39th birthday following an incident involving a weapon in Atlanta’s Lakewood Heights area. When police showed up, Scooter reportedly ran away — along with another man — and got injured while trying to escape by jumping over fences.

After officers allegedly attempted to help him at the scene, Scooter was rushed to Grady Marcus Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.

Following his death, Demi Balnco, a reality star from the show Baddies, went live on Instagram to address the online harassment she’s been facing since, according to TMZ, she allegedly made the 911 call in the situation that led to Scooter’s death.

Young Scooter’s son also responded to his father’s death on social media earlier this week, pointing the finger at Atlanta Police. “FUCK APD,” Kenneth Edward Rashaad Bailey Jr. wrote on his Instagram Story.
