Young Thug has blasted an Atlanta Police Department investigator as the “biggest liar” in the city’s justice system.
The rapper took to X on Tuesday, calling out Marissa Viverito, an investigative analyst with the Atlanta PD, for supposedly lying about him and others, including Lil Baby. Thug posted a picture of Viverito with the caption, “Biggest liar in the DA office.” He also reshared a tweet from a fan account that posted more photos of Viverito with the caption, “All my homies hate Viverito.”

The fan page later claimed Viverito lied to get Thugga and others arrested while adding she was allegedly making false accusations about Lil Baby too.
Viverito was called to testify on March 31 for a preliminary hearing to determine if seven men charged in the shooting deaths of two Atlanta teens will face trial.
In February, Atlanta PD stated, based on Viverito’s alleged findings, that Lil Baby filmed a music video in rival gang territory which led to the teenagers being killed. Baby’s attorney fired back, calling the accusations “complete and total nonsense” and explaining that a professional team chose the music video location.
Viverito was also a crucial witness in the YSL RICO trial, where she irritated a judge with her misleading answer to a lawyer’s question about rap lyrics during cross-examination. The defense questioned her about SB’s song “Slatt Talk” (an artist connected to YSL), specifically about a lyric where he mentioned beating a murder charge.
SB’s attorney asked if his client had ever “beaten” a homicide charge. SB currently faces a murder charge but has never been acquitted or convicted of homicide. Viverito called the rap lyric “a real slippery slope,” prompting the judge to dismiss the jury and question her response.
The judge scolded Viverito for her lack of clarity, telling her, “If you’re testifying to the facts, just give us the facts,” after she claimed that one of the co-defendants who took a plea deal was “very proud of his affiliation with Young Slime Life.”
