J. Cole stunned the crowd by bringing Erykah Badu onstage during his performance of “Too Deep for the Intro” on Sunday’s final night of the latest and ultimate edition of Dreamville Fest.
Badu’s iconic track “Didn’t Cha Know” is actually sampled on Cole’s fan-favorite Friday Night Lights song.
Badu showing up was the perfect highlight of Cole’s incredible set, which took place on a stage designed to look like his former apartment in Queens, affectionately known as “Mohammad’s Crib.”
Since this marked his final Dreamville Fest performance ever, Cole went all out with a hit-packed setlist that covered his entire career.
As for Badu, she joined the festival’s star-studded lineup alongside Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, J. Cole, and Tems as some of the biggest names to rock the two-day event at Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park.
