YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s Neighbor Plans to Bake Welcome-Home Cookies When He Returns From Prison

In a chat with a local news station, YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s Utah neighbor shared that she’s planning to whip up some cookies to welcome the rapper back from jail.

According to KUTV, neighbor Judy Zone opened up about living near YoungBoy and shared her thoughts on him. She mentioned dropping by his place “a lot” and was caught off guard by his unexpected return. “I didn’t know he was back, you know?” she said. “I didn’t know that Kentrell [YoungBoy’s real name] is back, so I think I’m going to bake him some cookies and bring them over there.”

When asked if she considers him a “nice guy,” she answered, “He’s a very sweet kid, I mean he’s very young. … Very kind, he called me ma’am. I told him I’ve never listened to his music, he said, ‘I don’t recommend it.’ He said, ‘Ma’am, I don’t recommend it.'” She connected with him following an incident last year when one of his dogs attacked her pet.

Last month, YoungBoy Never Broke Again was transferred from an Alabama federal prison to a residential reentry management facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Since then, he’s been released from the facility and has headed back to his home in Utah’s Olympus Cove neighborhood. Other locals like Suman Singh reported seeing him come back with armed security and “four or five police cars.”

YoungBoy was doing time for a federal gun charge, getting a 23-month sentence. After taking a plea deal, he got credit for time already served and walked free earlier than expected.
