A man who claimed he was sexually assaulted at a Diddy party has now dropped Beyoncé and Jay-Z from his lawsuit.
According to TMZ, Manzaro Joseph, who filed legal action against Diddy earlier this month, has updated his complaint. Initially, he alleged that Diddy drugged him and made him walk around the party wearing an obscene mask — supposedly causing Beyoncé to comment about him, “Why is this half-naked white man with a cock mask standing here in front of me?”
The revised lawsuit reportedly maintains that the incident occurred — but all references to the Carters have been completely removed.
TMZ suggests this change happened because Jay-Z’s attorney Alex Spiro warned Joseph’s lawyer about including false allegations in the suit. Spiro apparently provided evidence that the Carters weren’t even in Miami when Joseph claimed the incident took place.
Back in March, Jay-Z fought back against a woman who accused him of rape by claiming she fabricated the story.
In an affidavit shared with Complex, a private investigator stated he met with the accuser, Jane Doe, in February. During this meeting, Doe allegedly admitted that her attorney, Tony Buzbee, “pushed” her to include Jay-Z in her lawsuit against Diddy despite her only wanting to take legal action against the music mogul.
“He was the one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him, with Jay-Z,” Doe reportedly stated, per Henderson’s affidavit.
Doe also apparently acknowledged that while Jay-Z attended the party, he “did not take part in any sexual assault of Ms. Doe.”
Jay-Z has filed a defamation lawsuit against the woman and her legal team.
