Wild Firework Bursts Among Festival-Goers at Coachella

Coachella attendees got a shocking surprise when a stray firework blasted into a crowd and ignited a nearby palm tree.

The chaotic incident happened Saturday night during Green Day’s Coachella performance. As the band wrapped up their set, fireworks were launched into the sky.

While most of them exploded safely away from festival-goers, video recorded by one attendee shows pandemonium breaking out after a firework shot into a nearby crowd.

“A firework just exploded next to me and all my friends at Coachella,” the user posted on X. “I can’t hear out of my right ear, multiple people hurt. That was fucking insane, I thought it was a terrorist attack.”

In other unexpected Coachella moments, Flavor Flav jumped onstage with Yo Gabba Gabba to sing about bugs, Missy Elliott appeared in a Transformers-inspired getup, and Yeat performed a cover of Drake’s “Feel No Ways.”

Meanwhile, Sen. Bernie Sanders made a surprise festival appearance and delivered a strong warning about President Donald Trump during his onstage speech.

“[Trump] thinks that climate change is a hoax. He’s dangerously wrong,” Sanders warned. “And you and I are going to have to stand up to the fossil fuel industry and tell them to stop destroying this planet.”

Sanders also tackled current economic and healthcare issues in his address to the crowd.

“We have an economy today that is working very well for the billionaire class, but not for working families,” Sanders said. He also urged the audience “to stand up to the insurance companies and the drug companies and understand that healthcare is a human right.”
