Ye has called out both Playboi Carti and DJ Swamp Izzo in his latest lengthy X rant. Responding to footage of Swamp Izzo explaining on VladTV why Ye wasn’t featured on Carti’s newest album, MUSIC, the rapper fired back with his own take.
“But nigga what do both of yall got to say about him calling my baby mom and mentioning Skims,” wrote Ye.
Ye has taken aim at both Playboi Carti and DJ Swamp Izzo during his recent extended X rant. After watching a clip of Swamp Izzo on VladTV explaining Ye’s absence from Carti’s latest album, MUSIC, the rapper jumped in with his own perspective.
In the video Ye responded to, Swamp Izzo explains that Ye’s omission from MUSIC wasn’t due to any beef with Carti – they just had to be extremely selective about the final tracklist. “We had 130 songs,” Swamp Izzo said. “We had to turn in 25.”
Ye revealed back in March that Carti allegedly reached out to Kim Kardashian trying to get North West’s vocals for MUSIC.
“I DECIDED NORTH WONT BE DOING ANY SONGS WITH CARTI HOW IT LOOK FOR ME TO GET LEFT OFF THE ALBUM AND THEN HE ASK KIM TO HAVE VOCALS FROM MY DAUGHTER,” Ye posted on X. “I DONT A F–K ABOUT NONE OF THIS INDUSTRY SHIT AND HOW ITS A SKIMS LINE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND I DONT GIVE A F–K WHAT NO COMMENTS THE MAN HAS THE FIRST AND FINAL SAY OVER HIS KIDS.”
Ye then flipped things around and suggested he wanted vocals from Carti’s son, Onyx, for his own upcoming project.
“HEY IGGY AZALEA I NEED TO GET ONYX VOCALS ON MY SONG THATS MY NEPHEW OH AND IMA RAP ABOUT ONE OF YOUR BUSINESSES THE F–k,” Ye continued. “I HELD MY TONGUE ABOUT NOT BEING ON CARTI ALBUM HIM GOING TO MY EX TO ASK MY DAUGHTER TO BE ON A SONG 2 DAYS LATER WAS TOO FAR NOBODY FINNA PLAY WITH ME.”
In another post, Ye claimed he would end Carti’s career over what he saw as disrespect.
