Nick Carter Slapped With Fresh Lawsuit Alleging Sexual Assault and Giving Woman STDs

Nick Carter faces new accusations of sexually assaulting a woman who says he infected her with STDs.

According to TMZ’s review of the lawsuit, a woman named Laura Penly claims she met the Backstreet Boys singer in 2004 when she was 19 and had a sexual relationship with him for several weeks in LA.

Penly says she asked him to use protection but he allegedly refused, claiming he was “clean” from any STDs.

In an alleged incident from early 2005, Penly claims she told Carter she didn’t want sex after arriving at his place. He supposedly responded by saying the only reason she was there was to have sex with him.

Things allegedly got worse, with Penly claiming he forcefully bent her over his bed and penetrated her vaginally despite her saying “no” multiple times.

Penly, who said she never had unprotected sex before meeting the singer, claimed he didn’t wear a condom during the alleged assault—which he supposedly asked her to keep quiet about, suggesting nobody would believe her.

Carter allegedly apologized to Penly months later and asked to see her again.

Later in the complaint, Penly claims she met Carter again in LA before he took her to his bedroom. Despite telling him she didn’t want sex, she alleges he forcefully penetrated her and ignored her pleas to stop.

In the lawsuit, Penly claims Carter gave her various STDs including chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HPV. She also says she was diagnosed with cervical cancer from her HPV infection, leading to cancer treatments and surgery.

Penly is suing Carter for sexual assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress and wants unspecified damages.

The singer denied everything through his attorneys, Liane K. Wakayama and Dale Hayes, Jr.

“This is just more of the same nonsense from the gang of conspirators and their lawyers who continue to abuse the justice system to try to ruin Nick Carter,” Wakayama and Hayes, Jr. told TMZ. “It’s drawn from the same predictable playbook – lie in wait for decades until Mr. Carter is celebrating a professional milestone, then hide behind litigation privilege to make utterly false claims in an attempt to inflict maximum damage on Nick and his family.”

The lawyers are referring to the Backstreet Boys’ recent celebration of the 25th anniversary of their 1999 album Millennium.

Carter’s legal team also said he doesn’t remember meeting Penly or having any sexual relationship with her, and mentioned her “documented history of financial and legal trouble,” including bankruptcy filings and fraud lawsuits against her.
