ASAP Rocky’s grandmother couldn’t be happier about his relationship with Rihanna.
During a chat with Vogue, Rocky’s grandma, Cathy, shared how thrilled she is that he’s found stability with Rihanna and started a family with her. In Cathy’s view, Rihanna is authentic and a great match for Rocky.
“I’m glad that he settled down, and I’m happy with who he settled down with. She’s a down-to-earth person,” Rocky’s grandmother stated. The rapper added that his grandma “loves her some Rih Rih.”
Rocky and Rihanna have been going strong since officially becoming a couple in December 2019. In a Harper’s Bazaar interview, Rihanna revealed how Rocky helps her stay grounded when life gets hectic.
“That’s a big thing for us and actually a really big thing for him,” Rihanna explained. “He always reminds me, no matter how hard everything is that we’re dealing with in our life, in our careers and as parents, he’s like, ‘Remember when we were friends? Remember when we just used to have fun as friends?”
She also mentioned how they prefer being social rather than secretive about their relationship, saying, “We like to eat with people. We like to shop with people. We like to walk the streets with people. I don’t like a very private room. I don’t have them shut down stores. I don’t like the Rapunzel life.”
