Ty Dolla Sign Shocks Coachella Audience by Including His Incarcerated Brother’s Voice During Performance

Ty Dolla Sign created a powerful Coachella moment by bringing his incarcerated brother, Big TC, into his festival performance.

During his set, Ty arranged for a video of his brother singing to play on the massive screens while a live choir joined in, harmonizing with Big TC’s vocals. The footage captured Ty and the choir on stage as his brother’s voice rang out across the packed Coachella crowd through the giant video display.

Ty has been a vocal supporter of his brother since his music career began in the early 2010s. The 43-year-old artist paid tribute to his brother with his debut album Free TC, released in November 2015. Big TC is currently serving a 67-year-to-life sentence in California’s Calipatria State Prison for murder.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is now in its second weekend, with Lady Gaga, Green Day, Travis Scott, and Post Malone taking the headlining spots. The first weekend delivered several viral moments including Missy Elliott’s Transformers-inspired entrance, Flavor Flav dancing alongside Yo Gabba Gabba! characters, Yeat covering Drake’s “Feel No Ways,” and more.

Anyone who couldn’t make it to the festival can still grab official Coachella merchandise at the Complex Shop. Check out some of the available items below.
