Ye has previewed a new track where he mentions performing a sexual act on his cousin during their childhood.
On Monday, April 21, Ye posted a clip of the song along with its backstory. “This song is called COUSINS about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t ‘look at dirty magazines together’ anymore,” he wrote. “Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw.”
He went on to suggest intimate activities with his cousin following their discovery of explicit magazines. “My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my moms closet were different,” he wrote. “My name is Ye and I sucked my cousins dick till I was 14. Tweet sent.”
The preview features Ye singing and rapping through a distorted filter. In the track, he mentions reenacting content they saw, performing oral sex on his cousin, asking for secrecy, and clarifying he’s not attracted to men. The remaining portion includes references to his alleged nitrous use and his relationships with women.
This assumedly isn’t the same cousin who stole his laptop, as he detailed on his 2016 track “Real Friends.” While not much is known about his incarcerated cousin, Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian has mentioned him in the past and confirmed his crime.
He also recently opened up about his childhood in a series of confessional tweets shared earlier this month. “When I was growing up my parents beat me,” he tweeted. “Like when I deserved it…Not in abusive way…I guess. … I’d be like, ‘Mom, I’m really upset. I didn’t get the starter hat to go with the jacket you just bought me, ‘and then I got backhanded out the blue…Just seems like that wouldn’t be woke.”
