Trippie Redd jumped on Instagram to clear up the gossip about Coi Leray’s baby celebration.
He hit up his IG Stories to declare that no baby shower for his child with Leray has happened yet. “Y’all blogs be so childish. My baby ain’t have no baby shower…yet,” he stated. “So, you blogs go run and tell everybody that. Since I’m the worst dad, and I don’t show up to baby showers and all that.”
Leray was seen attending a party last week, leading people to assume that it was her baby shower.
It wasn’t a baby shower at all. Leray explained that the event was actually just a birthday celebration for her friend.
Her response came after revealing her baby shower was happening sometime this week.
Trippie revealed Monday that although the baby shower hasn’t taken place yet, Leray doesn’t want him or his relatives showing up. He stated he’s footing the bill for the celebration, even though she’s telling him to talk through her attorney.
“And b4 the actual baby shower happens just letting yall know she doesn’t want me or my family there she said hit the lawyer.” he posted, mentioning that he’s covering all costs for the celebration.
The relationship between Coi and Trippie seemed strained throughout her pregnancy, when the 27-year-old apparently called him out for cheating in January. She reinforced these claims in a song preview later that same month, with a reference to her dad, Benzino.
Just a few weeks ago, Coi posted maternity photoshoot pictures on Instagram and announced she and Trippie are expecting a daughter. “GIRL MOM,” she captioned the photo collection.
