In two now-removed social media posts, Future has apparently addressed recent talk that he reclaimed a timepiece he’d given to a woman after she was spotted socializing with Trippie Redd. According to screenshots shared by news collector Kurrco, Future made what seemed to be an unusual public statement about online gossip surrounding him.
“I stay out the mix still get thrown in fake news, people trying to use me for promo is goofy,” he posted on X. “Anyone can put a name and say I text.. stop posting false shit.”
Future didn’t stop there – he also jumped into DJ Akademiks’ Instagram comment section to firmly deny the supposed text exchange between himself and the woman.
“This a fake text btw,” he commented. “Insane.”
The drama started when a woman claimed Future had given her a luxury watch, only to demand it back when she began spending time with another artist.
“Smh I hope you got that tattoo removed, embarrassing you really a good girl,” Future supposedly wrote in unconfirmed screenshots of text messages with the woman—exchanges he’s now labeled completely “fake.” In the alleged conversation, she fired back by calling him a “narcissist” and mentioning he “took back my watch.”
Adding fuel to the situation, Trippie Redd seemed to subtly address the controversy by sharing an Instagram Story featuring himself vibing to Future’s music while flaunting an ice-covered timepiece.
