Ben Affleck isn’t giving up his appreciation for Latinas despite his high-profile split from Jennifer Lopez.
TMZ spotted the actor in West Hollywood and asked him in Spanish if he still enjoys dating Latinas. “Yes, of course I do,” he responded with a chuckle.
The reporter kept the Spanish conversation going with the Accountant 2 star, also questioning how he feels about being Hollywood’s hottest available bachelor. “Muy bien,” the actor replied, which translates to “very good” in English.
The 52-year-old has famously been involved with Lopez twice, as well as Ana de Armas. Affleck’s second relationship with J. Lo led to both marriage and divorce.
Back in March, he spoke about their divorce for the first time, clarifying that it had nothing to do with Lopez’s 2024 Prime Video documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
“Part of it was, ‘Okay, if I’m going to participate in this, I want to try to do it in an honest way and in a way that’s interesting.’ Because I thought it was an interesting examination,” Affleck explained. He emphasized it was “important” for him to make clear that the documentary “wasn’t the cause of some major fracture” in his relationship with Lopez, contrary to speculation.
“My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers. As happens in relationships, you don’t always have the same attitude towards these things,” he added.
The former couple initially dated in 2002, getting engaged before breaking things off in 2004. Nearly 20 years later, in 2021, they reignited their romance, married in 2022, and filed for divorce in 2024.
This marriage was Lopez’s fourth. She has 17-year-old twins with her third husband, Marc Anthony. Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, with whom he has three children: 19-year-old Violet, 16-year-old Seraphina Rose, and 13-year-old Samuel.
