IShowSpeed isn’t the only streaming star in his family anymore.
On Friday, the internet sensation’s younger brother, Jamal, crossed the 100,000 subscriber milestone on YouTube. Jamal went live to share the exciting moment with Speed.
“Wait, I think you hit 100k,” Speed says, walking into Jamal’s room.
“Did I?”
They both yell, “Oh my god” as they watch the subscription counter hit 100,000. “Yes!” Jamal shouts, while Speed beams with a huge smile. “Let’s go!” Jamal exclaims.
The brothers share a heartfelt hug. “We did it, bro,” Jamal says.
“I love you, bro,” Speed tells him. “Bro, I love you, man. Thank you for making this work,” Jamal responds as they embrace. “Congratulations, bro,” Speed adds.
According to Dexerto, Jamal has made appearances in Speed’s streams occasionally. His actual name is reportedly Dian Watkins, though he also goes by DayDay and Jamal.
Back in October, Jamal mentioned he no longer wanted to show up in his brother’s streams because it “ticks” him off whenever anyone brings up Speed’s fame.
“Let’s say I wanna be a regular kid. I wanna do stuff without a famous brother, let’s say that,” Jamal explained during his own stream at the time. “I wanna do my own stuff, I don’t wanna have my brother be the main center of attention like every time I go to school. They bring up Speed and you know, yadda yadda yadda, it ticks me off.”
