Kai Cenat has secured his first Recording Industry Association of America gold plaque thanks to “BUSTDOWN ROLLIE AVALANCHE,” the track he created with NLE Choppa.
Just days ago, Cenat took to his Instagram Story to announce that his collaboration with Choppa has reached gold status. The catchy single “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche” dropped in May 2022, complete with a music video to match.
The track officially received its gold certification on May 7, with Cenat sharing his joy on his IG Story with nothing but a laughing emoji. Proving its popularity, the song has racked up more than 84 million Spotify streams. To achieve gold status, a track needs to hit 500,000 copies in sales or streaming equivalents.
Beyond snagging that gold certification, Kai is gearing up to unveil his Streamer University. In a promo video, Kai described the new venture as a space where “chaos is encouraged and content is king.” Anyone interested in joining Kai’s Streaming University can sign up at streameruniversity.com.
Kai first teased this exciting project during a Twitch livestream, mentioning he hopes to bring on fellow content creators like Mr. Beast to participate.
“I’m going to rent out a university over a course of a weekend. It will be streaming university. Okay? I’m going to rent it out,” Kai revealed. “I’m going to put out enrolls and applications of people to enroll into the university, no matter if you’re big, no matter if you’re a small streamer, you can stream the entire weekend.”
He added, “In terms of the classes and sht, for example, I would love to do some shit where, science, Mark Rober is the professor for that day, and he’s doing crazy experiments for everybody’s stream. Say there is a financial class, MrBeast in that motherfucker.”
