Cassie Claims Diddy Sexually Assaulted Her Following Their Split, Reveals She Attempted Self-Harm After Mental Collapse

On Wednesday (May 14), Cassie Ventura took the stand in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, claiming the Bad Boy Records founder sexually assaulted her after their nearly eleven-year relationship came to an end. She also shared her experience attempting self-harm following a mental health crisis in 2023.

Speaking from a Manhattan courtroom on the third day of proceedings, Cassie alleged that Diddy barged into her Los Angeles apartment and raped her on the living room floor after she initiated a breakup in August 2018. She testified they had a final conversation at a restaurant to end things, and after driving her home, he allegedly forced himself on her.

Cassie provided graphic details of the alleged attack, stating Diddy’s eyes turned “black” as he allegedly assaulted her on the apartment floor. She recalled crying throughout the alleged incident but didn’t think he even noticed, as he simply got up and left afterward. Cassie mentioned this allegedly happened while she was dating her current husband, Alex Fine.

Cassie admitted having consensual sex with Diddy once more after the alleged assault. When prosecutors questioned why she willingly had intercourse with him again after he allegedly raped her, she pointed out they had been together for a decade.

During another part of her testimony, Cassie reportedly grew emotional describing her journey through rehab and therapy following a breakdown triggered by her trauma. She revealed becoming suicidal and experiencing “horrible flashbacks” during a music video shoot in February 2023. Cassie also mentioned suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, blackouts and sleepwalking after their 2018 split.

She told jurors she attempted suicide by walking into traffic, but her husband intervened. She remembered “telling him you can do this without me. You don’t need me here anymore.”

“I can’t carry this anymore. I can’t carry the shame, the guilt,” she reportedly explained when asked why she decided to testify at Diddy’s trial.

Diddy faces charges of racketeering and sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion.
