Cassie Ventura claims she and Sean “Diddy” Combs were hooked on painkillers throughout their 11-year relationship, with Diddy eventually suffering an alleged overdose.
The 38-year-old singer made this revelation Thursday during cross-examination in Diddy’s federal sex trafficking trial. When a defense attorney asked Ventura if she remembered when Diddy allegedly overdosed on opioids at a February 2012 Playboy Mansion event.
“Was that around the time Whitney Houston died? I believe so,” Cassie responded before sharing more about that night. “That evening we had a ‘freak-off.’ We went to a sex club in San Bernardino. And then he had a party at the Playboy Mansion that night, and I went home…
“From what [Diddy] told me, he took a really strong opioid that night, but we didn’t know what happened,” Ventura continued. “So, we took him to the hospital.”
Diddy’s attorney then asked Ventura if she and the defendant were dependent on painkillers “during the entire duration of [their] relationship.”
“Very much so,” she confirmed.
