50 Cent, whose relentless barrage of Instagram posts has predictably pivoted to all things Diddy lately, kept that energy going this week after prosecutors unveiled photos of people allegedly recruited for so-called “freak-offs.”
When these photos dropped at the beginning of week two in Diddy’s federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, 50 jumped in with his typical trolling.
“Man, imagine what he did too,” he posted alongside a screenshot of select photos. “Hahaha I can’t say it SMH LOL.” True to form, 50 made sure to tag his 50 Cent Action FAST channel and Branson Cognac brand in the post.
As shown above, 50 quickly zeroed in on a major detail about the photos – the inclusion of Ash Armand. He shared a screenshot from a People article from March this year noting that Armand appeared on the male escort reality show Gigolos. More recently though, Armand made headlines after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter for beating 29-year-old Herleen Dulai to death.
“This shit is a movie,” 50 posted on Instagram Monday. “One of the sex workers caught a body.”
Diddy’s trial, which isn’t being broadcast live, is expected to run about eight weeks. Among those already testifying is Cassie, whose cross-examination sparked conflict between prosecutors and Diddy’s legal team. As Complex’s Shawn Setaro reported, Diddy’s attorney Anna Estevao had Cassie read her own text messages in court, focusing on exchanges about their “freak-offs.”
While prosecutors and Cassie have claimed these encounters happened through force and manipulation, the cross-examination strategy seemed designed to complicate that narrative and cast Diddy in a more favorable light.
Diddy continues to deny all allegations against him. Just before the trial began, he formally rejected a potential plea deal. As 50 argued last week, Diddy “should have took the plea offer.”
