Joey Badass started the week dropping another diss-packed track with a line guaranteed to send people rushing to search Vlad interviews.
“My Town,” featuring Loaded Lux, dropped Monday with Joey taking shots at Daylyt’s “thirst for attention” as “sad.” For context, Daylyt recently posted a photo of the late Capital Steez during his ongoing feud with Joey, though it wasn’t clear if this was a direct response to Joey’s previous diss.
“Nothing you could say could take away that sus shit you said on Vlad,” Joey spits on the fresh “My Town” track. “I would say, I’mma get on your ass, but you might like that.”
A 2014 Vlad TV interview shows Daylyt talking about Diddy, who’s now facing trial in his federal sex trafficking and racketeering case. In the clip, Daylyt – clearly trolling – claimed he wanted to “fuck the shit out of Diddy” and was launching a “movement” around this idea.
“Would I fuck Diddy? Yeah,” Daylyt declared in the 2014 footage. “I’d fuck Diddy. I’m not gonna front I’d fuck the shit out of Diddy. I’m just keeping it a buck. Like, why not? Diddy’s attractive. Get him off a bottle of Cîroc, a shot of Cîroc. He got plenty of Cîroc. Get him fucked up. I’ll fuck. I actually got a website. I’m about to start a movement. It’s called I Wanna Fuck P. Diddy Movement.”
This isn’t the first Diddy reference in this beef. Joey himself previously mentioned the infamous “freak-offs” that have dominated headlines since Diddy’s 2024 arrest, rapping during his appearance on Red Bull 1520’s Spiral Freestyle series that he was “at the party but I never seen a freak-off.”
Throughout “My Town,” Joey also tips his hat to the Drake and Kendrick Lamar rivalry that took over 2024 and crowns himself “the BK Batman.” Give it a listen above.
