Tom Cruise subtly gave props to his rumored girlfriend, 37-year-old Ana de Armas, who’s set to star in the John Wick spinoff Ballerina.
The 62-year-old Cruise, who stars in the upcoming action film Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, appeared on Wednesday’s (May 21) episode of The Pat McAfee Show where he discussed new movies he’s looking forward to.
Around the 1:06:00 mark in the video below, Cruise kicked things off by hyping up Ryan Coogler’s latest blockbuster Sinners, saying he was “pumped” to check it out. He also expressed his enthusiasm for Brad Pitt’s sports drama F1, along with Ballerina.
Cruise made sure to highlight de Armas specifically, noting that the Cuban-Spanish actress is “laying it down” in the action-thriller, which hits theaters June 6.
“I get really excited and inspired by what these guys are doing, you know, they’re going after it,” he added.
Cruise, who’s been through three divorces, singled out de Armas amid recent dating rumors swirling around them. The pair are reportedly collaborating on several upcoming projects, and Cruise praised the Blonde star as “very, very talented” during an Extra interview Sunday (May 18).
The four-time Academy Award nominee was previously married to Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990, Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001, and Katie Holmes from 2006 to 2012.
De Armas, who was formerly married to Spanish actor Marc Clotet from 2011 to 2013, revealed on a May 15 Good Morning America episode that she’s “excited” to work with Cruise.
The two were reportedly first spotted together having dinner and taking a helicopter ride in London around Valentine’s Day, according to Page Six.
