DJ Khaled appears to be stepping up his workout routine with help from a surprising partner.
Thursday (May 22) saw the Grammy-winning DJ and producer hit Instagram with a video featuring Ashton Hall, the lifestyle influencer who became internet famous for his extreme morning routine.
The clip captures the pair’s outdoor cardio workout where Khaled powers through intense sprints on pavement next to Hall while wearing a weighted vest and Black Cement 3s.
Khaled teased the partnership in a Wednesday (May 21) Instagram post where he appeared next to Hall. “Today decided to go to the gym! Meet my trainer,” he wrote as the caption.
The We the Best boss later shared that he was embracing a fresh fitness approach. “We don’t lose weight. All we do is win,” Khaled declared in another clip posted on the Clip Kicker TikTok. “Now we might get rid of weight, but we don’t lose weight.”
DJ Khaled went on to express gratitude to Hall for his time and praised his viral running content. “When I met you, I was inspired,” he explained. “First thing I told you, I was like, ‘Yo, your videos inspire me… Pull out the black truck.’ Remember that?”
“Yeah, less than 24 hours ago,” Hall replied.
“I told him to pull out the black truck,” Khaled added. “I said bring me the — what do you call this vest? The vest. I want the vest, the [athletic] tape… we gotta document the moment.”
Khaled also leveraged the running footage with Hall to hype up Aalam of God, the highly anticipated follow-up to his 2002 album God Did. “Album mode,” he labeled the content.
Aalam of God will represent Khaled’s 14th complete project. He revealed the work back in February through a movie-style trailer featuring Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Ramos. The preview dropped multiple clues about the album, including some possible guest appearances.
“Do you understand what I’m f**kin’ tellin’ you? This guy’s got two Drake songs on there. Two,” Wahlberg stated. “What if he’s got another 100-bar verse from Jay-Z?”
Khaled hasn’t yet revealed Aalam of God‘s official release date.
