Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, testified in Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial on Thursday. During his court appearance, Cudi spoke about his brief romance with Cassie and the harassment he claims he endured from Diddy because of it.
At one moment, Cudi described a meeting he says happened at a Soho House location in Hollywood. Before this encounter, according to Cudi, his Porsche had been torched with a Molotov cocktail and his dog had been injured during a home invasion.
During this meeting, as captured in rough X-delivered transcripts from Inner City Press and Adam Klasfeld, Cudi said Diddy was “standing there like a Marvel supervillain.” This comment apparently caused laughter to break out in the courtroom on Thursday.
Cudi said he brought up his fire-damaged vehicle during this meeting, though Diddy insisted at the time that he knew nothing about any such incident.

Diddy has rejected the charges against him, which include: racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The racketeering charge alone comes with a potential maximum sentence of life in prison, though it’s premature in the proceedings to guess the outcome of this high-profile case.
Cassie previously gave her own testimony in the trial, telling the court she was “here to do the right thing.”
