Kodak Black Fans Worried After He Describes Himself as a ‘Young N***a With a Meth Habit’

Kodak Black has sparked serious worry among fans following remarks he made about drug use in a recent freestyle.

In the newest On The Radar episode, posted on Wednesday (May 21) and also featuring Just Brittany and Taylor So Made, Kodak delivers a concerning lyric around the 53-second mark (see the video above), where he calls himself a “young n***a with a meth habit.”

These new lyrics surface after the 27-year-old previously confessed to using meth in 2023 after his arrest in Broward County, Florida.

Supporters of the rapper expressed their concerns in the comments of On The Radar‘s Instagram post.

“So none of [yall] heard this man say, ‘YN with a meth habit’ ??? We just gone skip that part and drop fire emojis??” one fan commented, while another said: “So we’re just gonna ignore that he said that he’s addicted to Meth.”

A third fan requested prayers for Kodak, posting: “pray for yak, he still got life left [100 emoji].”

Kodak’s legal troubles include a 2015 arrest for marijuana possession and a 2022 charge for oxycodone trafficking. In 2023, he was suspected of cocaine possession, which turned out to be prescription oxycodone.

Earlier this month, Bradford Cohen, Kodak’s longtime attorney, revealed the rapper would be taking legal action against Maranda Johnson, the mother of his children Queen Yuri and Prince Kapri.

Johnson claimed on her Instagram Story that Kodak Black was a “dead beat BD” who was emotionally and physically abusive.

Cohen dismissed Johnson’s claims as a “money grab,” saying she was “selfish” and spreading “made up stories.” He stated that Kodak would be filing a defamation lawsuit against her, along with pursuing damages for what the lawyer described as six figures’ worth of property damage she caused to his client.
