XXXTentacion and Juice WRLD’s long-awaited collaboration is scheduled to drop next week.
The estates of both deceased artists have revealed that the remix to XXXTentaction’s “whoa (mind in awe)” featuring Juice WRLD will be released on May 30.
Alongside the track announcement, X’s team posted a video showcasing the rapper’s Jamaican heritage.
The original version of the track was featured on XXXTentacion’s posthumous 2018 album, SKINS.
On that initial track, the Florida artist discusses not allowing negative energies to overcome him, rapping: “Won’t look back on my mind/ Won’t let bad out my shine/ Won’t let you cloud my mind/ Won’t let you cloud my mind/ All my days, I was cryin’/ All my lows, all my highs/ Told my Mom, ‘I’m gon’ shine’/Told my love, ‘I’m gon’.’“
In other XXXTentacion news, four of his tracks, including his biggest hit “Look at Me!,” are planned to be included in Fortnite during an upcoming in-game event on May 31.
In April, XXXTentacion’s son Gekyme delivered a heartfelt message to his father in a sweet interview.
Gekyume met up with YouTuber Brandon Sloane in Target where the content creator bought him a few toys he desired. Afterward, Gekyume was asked if he had a message for his father, leading the six-year-old to respond: “That I love him.”
XXXTentacion’s son then turned into the interviewer, asking if Sloane had a mom and dad, and whether he loved them — to which the YouTuber answered “yes” to all three questions.
To wrap up Sloane’s video, the pair engaged in a rap battle where Gekyume displayed the talent he inherited from his famous father.
Back in 2021, Gekyume was given a diamond chain with a picture of his father set in the medallion. The late rapper’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, posted a photo of Gekyume wearing it while sleeping, captioning it, “Daddy is with you always my love.”
