Ja Rule recently escorted his daughter, Brittney Atkins, down the aisle in a touching moment that was filmed and shared online.
The rapper appeared in various social media videos hugging his daughter and accompanying her during her wedding ceremony. Given that he’s clearly moved beyond his “Thug Lovin” days, perhaps his record label should now be renamed Matrimony Inc.
Ja Rule was also seen greeting Brittney’s new husband with a handshake followed by a warm embrace. Later, the rapper took to the dance floor with his daughter and seized the microphone to deliver a heartfelt, impromptu speech.
“First I want to say congratulations to the newlyweds,” he reportedly said during the reception. “This is an amazing moment. We are all here to bless this union with love and longevity and all the good things that come with marriage.”
Ja Rule subsequently took to Instagram to post a photo of himself with his daughter, along with a caption reflecting on the experience.
“Such an amazing moment for any father to walk his daughter down the isle [sic]… love you Babygirl,” he wrote.
Atkins had previously shared news of her engagement on Instagram in 2023, disclosing that her now-husband proposed to her on a beach by getting down on one knee.
Earlier this year, Ja Rule expressed his approval of his new son-in-law during an interview with People.
“You know as fathers, it’s a weird thing, right?” he explained. “Because you go through this phase where [you want] nobody to touch your daughter. No man. ‘Nobody get my daughter.'”
