Kai Cenat hit several firsts during his 2025 American Music Awards stream earlier this week. One of them was meeting Wayne Brady, who politely but firmly refused to let Kai use his bald head to “do Michael Jordan.”
As shown around 55 minutes into the video below, Kai and Wayne first greeted each other, with Kai complimenting Wayne’s head as being incredibly “clean.” Brady responded with appreciation, which led to Kai’s request: “You mind if I do Michael Jordan?” Brady quickly replied with “Oh, I do” before explaining he didn’t mean this “in a mad way.”
Brady then suggested a trade of sorts.
“If you do Michael Jordan, then I get to grab on your—” Brady began before Cenat cut him off with “hell nah.” Cenat protested that this was too “freaky” for him to get involved with.
“That’s not freaky,” Brady countered. “What’s freakier? Massaging another grown man’s bald head or me grabbing your head?”
Cenat clarified that he wasn’t planning to massage his head but rather wanted to place his hand on top of it like a basketball.
“Yeah, no,” Brady responded, after which the two exchanged more pleasantries and went their separate ways for the evening.
Kai, who recently disclosed that he rejected Streamer University-related deals from Netflix and Amazon, made a significant impact at this year’s American Music Awards ceremony. Besides co-presenting an award with Alix Earle, Cenat also had standout moments involving Eminem’s Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist victory and his confrontation with a Ye-supporting stream crasher.
