In an interview with SNL star Chloe Fineman for Elle, Lindsay Lohan tackled rumors about her appearance since returning to Hollywood.
The former child star, now 38, has remained in the public eye, and lately, there’s been plenty of chatter about her youthful looks. Fineman shared that she had a facial treatment last week with an aesthetician who claimed she’s never used Botox, which both she and Lohan immediately questioned. “Everyone does Botox,” Lohan stated. “Who are you? It’s like, ‘You lie.'”
When pressed about her skincare routine, she explained that her biggest gains have come from maintaining a healthy lifestyle and experimenting with serums.
“I don’t even know how to answer that,” she responded when asked about her secrets. “I drink this juice every morning. It’s like carrot, ginger, lemon, olive oil, apple. I also drink a lot of green tea, a lot of water. I’m a big pickled beets person, so I put them in almost everything. My skin care is very specific. I’m trying out some serums now that I’m doing—I’m testing them. Also, I’m a big believer in ice-cold water on your face when you wake up. I drink lemon juice a lot; I also put tons of chia seeds in my water. Eye patches, I do every morning. I’m into lasers.”
Lohan shared that she noticed Julianne Moore using an “at-home” laser treatment that she thought looked “very good.” However, she dismissed trends like “salmon sperm.”
Fineman brought up that she tried the laser treatment Fraxel, which helps repair damaged skin cells, but Lohan said she experimented with Morpheus8, a microneedling procedure that she’s stopped using because her skin became more sensitive after having her first child. “My skin got even more sensitive after him,” she explained.
At one point, Lohan’s publicist jumped in to point out that “the second” a woman in the spotlight “looks any different,” people assume they’ve had cosmetic procedures like a facelift. “I’m like, when?” Lohan responded. “With what time? Where?” Her publicist added, “Women can’t just look good to look good and change their lifestyle to be more healthy.” Lohan wrapped up, “You just have to do it and ignore everyone else.”
Later in the interview, she discussed her career goals and mentioned that she’d “love to work with some dream directors,” specifically naming Quentin Tarantino. She also expressed interest in working with actors Julianne Moore, Robert De Niro, and Al Pacino.
