Twitch streamer Timothy “Lil Gara” Brooks has been taken into custody on kidnapping and assault charges in Miami. The arrest happens a year after he became internet famous for his live reaction to finding out his girlfriend had supposedly been unfaithful.
Based on Miami-Dade County officials, the 20-year-old Brooks is facing charges of kidnapping with a weapon or firearm, burglary with assault or battery, and carrying a concealed weapon.

In a post that has since been removed from her Instagram account, a woman claiming to be Brooks’ girlfriend who goes by Indiyabb shared details about her experience and mentioned she intends to discuss it more later.
“I’m back, thank you for everyone who checked up on me while I went thru something very traumatic which almost caused me to lose my life,” she posted. “I love y’all.”
On her TikTok, she also uploaded a video with the caption, “Me after my ex almost killed me.”

His arrest comes just over a year after he went viral for a live incident in which he reacted to his girlfriend allegedly cheating on him, though it’s not clear if the woman in the viral clip is the same as the alleged victim in his arrest.
