DDG’s brother DuB became involved in a recorded confrontation at Dream Con with someone who referred to the streamer as “Doo Doo Garbage.”
Video footage from the event shows DDG, DuB, and their crew walking through the anime convention when an individual shouted “Doo Doo Garbage” at DDG — referencing an incident where someone yelled the same insult at DDG during Streamer University.
Following the man’s outburst, DuB and his cameraman were seen throwing punches at him. The situation escalated as the fight spread across the convention floor.
An individual who appeared to be the person who initiated the confrontation spoke about the incident on social media afterwards and mentioned pursuing legal action.
“[We] see DDG walking by, and it’s whatever,” the man said. “I heard about DDG before, I heard the name, I heard the term ‘Doo Doo Garbage.’ I’m thinking it’d be funny, just a little joke. So I call him ‘Doo Doo Garbage’ from around the way. His homeboys stop, come back, his brother. DuB tries to press me about what I said. ‘What you say?’ ‘Doo Doo Garbage.’ Pushed the shit out of me.”
“Nobody comes up to me and says ‘Doo Doo Garbage,'” said DDG while speaking to someone in a car. “If a fan came up to me on some ‘Doo Doo Garbage’ shit, I’m going to hold that ni**a up so goddamn bad. Ni**as know better.”
