Is Beyoncé chronically online? Some of her fans believe so.
Since launching the Cowboy Carter Tour in April, Bey has already created headline-grabbing moments at every tour stop, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and East Rutherford, New Jersey.
From giving shout-outs to fans during “Ya Ya,” to allowing her daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter to join her in the spotlight, and assisting a couple with their gender reveal in the rain, the tour is filled with emotion, spectacle, and plenty of country flair.
But fans are picking up on something else. While Beyoncé may not tweet, comment, or go live, she appears very tuned in to what’s trending online. Some of those viral moments are being woven into the Cowboy Carter Tour, and it has the BeyHive talking.
From playlist adjustments to direct nods to viral TikToks and other memes, the tour has people questioning whether Beyoncé is secretly absorbing it all through a private account.
Naturally, we’ll probably never get confirmation about her online behavior and screen time habits. But at minimum, Bey might be more connected than we realize.
Here’s the evidence.
“She ain’t no diva!”
One of the most memorable TikToks from the Renaissance Tour period is @zuhailaxx’s parody of Beyoncé calling out an unsuspecting fan with the phrase, “She ain’t no diva!”
That moment has reached the main stage.
Beyoncé and her group of dancers now spotlight a nightly “diva” at each show, featuring them on the Jumbotron as a tribute to the original meme. Coincidence? Absolutely not.
The Drea Kelly “II Hands II Heaven” dance moment
Last April, a fan combined dancer Drea Kelly’s burlesque routine with Bey’s “II Hands II Heaven,” and it rapidly gained traction online.
Now, Beyoncé is honoring this by performing Kelly’s hip-pointing dance while singing the lyrics, “Pull my fit over these hips / You grip, I grind / Then taste this wine, I’ma taste what’s mine.”
“I do burlesque. So that original choreography is to Muddy Waters, ‘I Just Want to Make Love to You’ and somebody put Beyoncé’s music on it. And the next thing I know … They put her music over one of my classes, they put her music over one of my videos,” Kelly told USA Today. “And in Chicago, there’s a dance called the Percolator. So this move that everybody sees me doing is actually an old school, house-music dance, and it fits perfectly.”
“That’s that Cécred drops.”
Beyoncé’s Cécred haircare line is creating buzz, particularly with the brand’s Restoring Edge Drops. Fans are praising the frequently sold-out product on social media for reviving their hairlines and edges, plus improving overall hair density.
The singer acknowledged the viral success of the life-changing product by altering the lyrics in “Thiqué” to, “That’s that Cécred drops.”
“Very demure”
Chicago-based influencer Jools Lebron, who turned the catchphrase “very demure” into a cultural sensation in 2024, received the ultimate recognition from Queen Bey during her show in the Windy City.
“Y’all are being very demure,” Bey told the audience, leaving Lebron amazed and thrilled by the acknowledgement.
The moment occurred months after Tina Knowles surprised Lebron with a thank-you video call to personally express gratitude to the influencer for her “very demure” videos.
Knowles revealed that she had breast cancer surgery last year and that Lebron’s content, as recommended by Solange and Beyoncé, “brought a smile” to her face.
Beyoncé silences her vocal doubters.
After the tour’s opening night in Los Angeles, an apparently deleted tweet implied 43-year-old Bey could no longer reach the notes from her early hits.
When Beyoncé returned to the stage two nights later, she included a medley of B’Day and other early-career fan favorites, including “Irreplaceable,” “If I Were a Boy,” “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” and “Love On Top” during the show’s fifth act, demonstrating she still has the vocal range.
Whether Beyoncé actually became aware of this specific criticism or not is debatable. Some fans jokingly suggest “manager” Blue Ivy is now keeping close watch over the show, especially after she successfully campaigned to keep “Diva” on the setlist during the Renaissance Tour film.
