Young Thug and Mariah the Scientist demonstrated just how long they’ve been together on the latest installment of GQ’s Couples Quiz.
The couple, who’ve been dating since 2021, discussed their relationship habits, starting with Mariah quizzing her boyfriend about her dream vacation, favorite flower and favorite restaurant. But around the 4:20 minute mark of the video below, Mariah asked Thug if he could recall what she wore on their first date, which prompted a hilarious response from the rapper.
“I don’t know what you wore on the first date ’cause you stood me up,” Thug said, catching the “Burning Blue” singer off guard. “How bout dat?”
“This is crazy. No I did not!” Mariah shot back.
Thug then claimed that on their “first official date” at his house, Mariah wore black, which the singer quickly disputed.
“I didn’t have black on and I got evidence. How you gon’ say I didn’t have on white and it was an all white function?” Mariah questioned.
Thug maintained that the two had discussed Mariah wearing black while other guests didn’t, but the singer insisted she had “proof.”
“I had on white and some jeans,” she explained. “Zero points. Ain’t had no black on. My pants was kinda dark.”
The question would be one of the few that Thugger got wrong, but the couple are still going strong, with Mariah supporting her man throughout his lengthy RICO trial and jail release last year.
In May, Mariah spoke with Complex’s Aria Hughes for an episode of Please Explain, where she opened up about her relationship with Thug. “I feel like when I met my boyfriend, he probably was more of a player in the beginning. I don’t know what he had going on, but I love him down,” she said around the 58:45-mark of the video below.
