Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial took a dramatic turn this week when testimony briefly shifted focus to a January 2024 Las Vegas trip involving an anonymous alleged victim—referred to in court as “Jane”—a well-known rapper, and the rapper’s girlfriend.
Jane testified that she joined the couple in Vegas to celebrate the girlfriend’s birthday. While Diddy wasn’t on the trip, the events that unfolded later became a flashpoint in court. On Thursday, the trial was delayed for nearly two hours as Diddy’s attorneys, prosecutors, and Jane’s legal team met with Judge Arun Subramanian behind closed doors to discuss what reportedly happened in a “hotel room.”
Diddy’s lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo, hinted at the reason behind the closed-door talks: a portion of the night where Jane, the rapper, his girlfriend, and others ended up in a hotel room watching an escort named Antoine—whom Jane knew from her “hotel nights” with Diddy—engage in sex with a woman. Jane claimed the rapper and his girlfriend asked if she knew others “in the lifestyle,” implying a curiosity about swinging or threesomes. She believed their question was tied to rumors of her previous sexual encounters with Combs.
Agnifilo argued that Jane’s anonymity complicated efforts to properly examine the Vegas trip, and he pushed for more transparency, suggesting others who were present might want to speak up. “These events, which are in the background to important events, need to be fully public,” he said, citing the importance of public trials for drawing out additional witnesses.
Those “important events” referred to Jane’s claims that Diddy violently assaulted her on June 18–19, 2024. She testified that he choked, punched, kicked, and slapped her. Following the alleged assault, Jane said Diddy learned about the Vegas trip and Antoine’s involvement—and exploded with rage.
Later that night, when Antoine arrived for what Jane described as a “freak off,” she recalled Diddy forcing a pill on her. “Take this fucking pill,” he allegedly told her. “You’re not going to ruin my fucking night. Get out there. Suck his dick. Fuck him.”
Jane said she resisted, but Diddy insisted she perform oral sex on Antoine. Her testimony concluded Thursday, and in a post-testimony reveal, the government confirmed for the first time that Victim-3 in the indictment is, in fact, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Gina.
