Doja Cat Claps Back at Fan She Says ‘Manhandled’ Her: ‘Keep Your Hands to Yourself’

A Doja Cat fan is setting the record straight after a recent meetup with the star took a sharp turn.

TikToker Pablo Tamayo had a brief but seemingly sweet interaction with the “Say So” singer last week, where he gifted her the white tank top he was wearing. In the clip, the two hugged twice, exchanged cheek kisses, and Doja even told him he could call her “Ami,” a nod to her real name, Amala.

But just days later, things flipped. In two since-deleted posts on X, Doja Cat aired her discomfort, calling out Tamayo for getting too familiar. “Don’t touch me and manhandle me when you don’t even f—in know me,” she wrote. “And he didn’t even know my f—in name to be touching me and kissing me on my face like that is crazy.”

She followed up by saying she tossed the shirt, calling it “that musty ass shirt.”

What started as a fan moment turned uncomfortable fast—showing that even well-intended gestures can go south.

Tamayo fired back at Doja Cat, poking fun at her “musty” shirt comment and revealed he tossed a top she wore during her 2023 Spotify event in return.

In a follow-up TikTok, Tamayo admitted her post “hurts,” clarifying that while he never claimed to be her biggest fan, he truly admired her work. The model shared that Doja actually complimented his shirt during their interaction and seemed excited to receive it. He even offered her a spot as the face of his brand’s Pride collection.

“I said, ‘Oh, I released this t-shirt, I’d love to give you one,’” he recalled. “She said, ‘I want one right now,’ and I said, ‘Oh, I can give this one to you.’”

Despite the drama, Tamayo described her as “sweet and amazing” during their encounter and took “full accountability” if his kindness came off the wrong way. “I’m gay—I would never want to make her feel uncomfortable. She’s so iconic!” he added.

Tamayo questioned whether Doja Cat’s reaction was “for publicity,” pointing out that she seemed “obviously down” to accept the shirt at the time.

“Honestly, this just shows me I guess that everyone’s not who they say in person,” he said.

Doja, who’s previously drawn boundaries with overly attached fans, has made headlines before for distancing herself from parasocial interactions—leading to a noticeable drop in her Instagram following.
