Reneé Rapp isn’t sugarcoating her feelings about Tory Lanez, who was reportedly stabbed during a prison altercation.
In a now-viral interview with Ziwe, the 24-year-old singer and Mean Girls star didn’t hold back when asked how she felt about the incident. Rapp flat-out said Lanez had it coming and that maybe prison stabbings should be more common.
“A lot of people get stabbed, and that’s fine,” she said. “Maybe we should be doing it more. Maybe we should be stabbing more […] shiv in the pocket.”
Her bold comments come as Lanez continues to serve his 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot back in 2020 — a case that’s kept fans divided ever since.
Rapp also took a jab at Drake for signing a petition to pardon Lanez. “That’s so tired,” she said, before adding, “I love Kendrick Lamar.”
Drake was among a handful of celebrities named in an online petition urging authorities to reevaluate Tory Lanez’s 10-year sentence—a move that sparked serious backlash across social media. Reneé Rapp’s reaction mirrors the growing wave of younger fans and artists who feel the petition disrespects justice and accountability for Megan Thee Stallion.
Rapp has long made her stance crystal clear—she stands with Megan. In fact, she’s expressed outright “hate” for the Toronto artist. Last year, she teamed up with Meg on a track for the Mean Girls remake and didn’t hold back when asked about the situation.
“I’m a true Meg supporter. And I hate that other man,” Rapp said. “I love Megan Thee Stallion. I love her. And if anybody tries her, when it comes to that sorry ass man, it’s a do or die fight for me.”
