Wiz Khalifa kept it short and unbothered when asked about his stance on the flat Earth theory.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday (June 13), the Kush + Orange Juice 2 rapper was questioned about his recent comments on The Joe Budden Podcast, where he mentioned believing the Earth is flat.
Wiz acknowledged saying it around the 5:45 mark in the clip but brushed off the topic, saying the whole controversy “really don’t matter to me.”
Wiz Khalifa playfully danced around the flat Earth conversation during his Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance on Friday (June 13), following recent comments he made on The Joe Budden Podcast.
Kimmel brought up the controversial take, saying, “I heard it and I was like, ‘I don’t know. I know Wiz. He seems pretty bright. There’s no way he thinks the Earth is flat.’”
Laughing it off, Wiz replied, “Yeah, I mean, you know, whatever makes you guys happy, bro.” When asked directly if it was a joke, Wiz shrugged it off again with, “I mean, whatever, dog.”
Kimmel pushed further, bringing up Wiz’s skepticism about space exploration. Wiz looked confused: “I said that? When did I say that?” Kimmel quipped back, “Maybe a joint number eighteen of the day?” and reminded him that he had said he didn’t believe space exploration was as extensive as claimed. Wiz’s only response? “I say a lot of stuff.”
The two also joked about Wiz’s Kush + OJ 2 album cover, which features a round Earth filled with oversized weed leaves. “Oh, by the way, the Earth looks pretty round here to me,” Kimmel said, to which Wiz replied, “I didn’t make a flat one on there. It’s round. That’s for you. I didn’t want to scare you.”
Wiz now joins rappers like B.o.B and Fivio Foreign, who have also questioned the Earth’s shape—despite science proving it’s a sphere. On Budden’s podcast, Wiz leaned into the theory, citing his extensive travel as part of what sparked his curiosity.
