DDG took to X on Sunday to wish everyone a happy Father’s Day, despite being caught up in a custody battle with Halle Bailey — but the message stirred up more than just love.
“Happy father’s day to all the active dads worldwide,” he posted.

The tweet didn’t sit well with everyone. After catching heat from other X users, DDG clapped back, saying, “Most of the people who quoted this dad didn’t want them & walked out of there life so they are project. It’s gon be okay, it’s just one day.”

In another tweet, he wrote, “I got a hour left on this flight, i’m finna cook these n***as 1 by 1 til i land.”

DDG and Halle Bailey are currently locked in a custody battle over their son, Halo. Earlier this month, the rapper and YouTuber stirred the pot by comparing his fame to that of a pop icon, tweeting, “Now I know how Michael Jackson felt being famous. Shit crazy.”
Tensions heightened when DDG filed a motion to stop Bailey from taking Halo out of the country. He aimed to block her trip to Italy for a movie shoot, but the judge shut down the request, allowing her to travel with their son.
Bailey fired back, accusing DDG of offering no consistent support since Halo’s birth. She argued the filing was done out of spite, even though he had known about her work commitment for months. Bailey also addressed claims about her mental health, acknowledging past suicidal thoughts but emphasizing that she’s since sought therapy and poses no danger to their child.
