Kelsey Grammer is reportedly gearing up to welcome baby number eight.
The 70-year-old Frasier and Cheers legend is said to be expecting his fourth child with wife Kayte Walsh, according to a Daily Mail source on Tuesday, June 17.
A source close to the couple revealed that Grammer is “thrilled” about diving back into fatherhood, especially now that he’s officially wrapped up his iconic run as Frasier Crane. “Kelsey is thrilled to finally have time to fully enjoy being a father all over again,” the insider shared. “He’s been incredibly supportive of Kayte during this pregnancy, which, though unexpected, has brought a fresh spark into their marriage.”
The source added, “Now that he’s said goodbye to Frasier for good, he’s ready to step into this new chapter of life. He’s looking forward to being a more hands-on dad than he was in the past.”
Grammer and Walsh, 46, already share three kids—Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, 8. The two first crossed paths on a flight in 2009 and tied the knot in 2011.
Kelsey Grammer first stepped into fatherhood back in 1983 with the birth of his daughter Spencer Grammer, now 41, from his marriage to Doreen Alderman. In 1992, he welcomed daughter Greer Grammer, 33, with then-girlfriend Barrie Buckner.
He also shares two children—Mason, 23, and Jude, 20—with ex-wife Camille Grammer, whom he married in 1997. The couple split in 2010.
