50 Cent Shuts Down ‘Baseless’ Murder-For-Hire Claim in Fat Joe Lawsuit

50 Cent has spoken out after being named in a wild lawsuit that claims Fat Joe tried to hire someone to kill him.

On Saturday (June 21), Fif took to Instagram to shut down the accusation and show support for Joe. Sharing an AI-generated image of the two rappers together, he wrote, “These baseless accusations and claims are not credible. I’m sorry joe has to endure the public scrutiny and damage to his reputation.”

He wrapped up the post with his signature flair: “THIS IS A STICK UP! I wrote this hook I should a kept this one.”

Fat Joe’s former hype man, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, is suing the rapper for a hefty $20 million, claiming he once tried to have 50 Cent killed during their intense beef back in 2006 or 2007.

In the explosive legal filing, Dixon accuses Joe of orchestrating a “calculated and premeditated conspiracy” to murder 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson. The lawsuit claims that while living in Miami during the winter of 2006–2007, Joe received word that 50 was at a venue in New York. According to Dixon, Joe allegedly ordered the hit, but the plan was abandoned because 50 was surrounded by “Navy Seal”–level security.

Dixon alleges Joe openly bragged about putting “a bag on 50 Cent’s head” and expressed anger over failing to follow through with the plan, reportedly telling associates, “I’ve been trying to get this ni**a for a minute.” The suit even claims Joe was “visibly distraught and shaking” over the failed attempt, suggesting serious intent and coordination.

The complaint outlines a plan to monitor 50 Cent’s tour stops and ambush him at multiple events, tying the alleged hit to a broader pattern of retaliatory violence within Joe’s circle against rivals or perceived threats.

Fat Joe, however, isn’t letting it slide. His attorney, Joe Tacopina, dismissed the claims as outright lies. “The lawsuit filed by Tyrone Blackburn and Terrance Dixon is a blatant act of retaliation,” he stated. “The allegations against Mr. Joseph Antonio Cartagena are complete fabrications — lies intended to damage his reputation and force a settlement through public pressure. Mr. Cartagena will not be intimidated. We have taken legal action to expose this fraudulent campaign and hold everyone involved accountable.”

Joe previously filed a defamation suit against Dixon, claiming the hype man and his lawyer are part of a scheme to extort him for money.

“These allegations are completely false and part of a criminal conspiracy orchestrated between a disgruntled former hype man and his attorney,” Fat Joe said in an earlier statement.
