Morgan Wallen surprised fans in a major way when he brought out Drake during his I’m the Problem tour stop in Houston on Saturday (June 21).
In fan-captured footage from the second night of the show, Wallen is seen embracing Drake backstage before the two make their way out together. As their collab “Broadway Girls” featuring Lil Durk played, the moment got even bigger with baseball icon Roger Clemens also joining them onstage.
It was an unexpected link-up that had the crowd buzzing.
After the show, Morgan Wallen took to Instagram to share the epic moment, captioning the post “all summer long” while Drake’s 2011 track “Under Ground Kings” played in the background.
Wallen’s big entrance with Drake is just the latest in his run of bringing famous guests—especially local sports legends—onstage during his shows.
The “Last Night” hitmaker has previously made entrances with stars like Tom Brady, Troy Aikman, Travis Kelce, and Peyton Manning, turning each show into a mini celebrity moment.
Wallen seemed to be enjoying himself far more on tour than he did during his Saturday Night Live appearance last month. During the usual end-of-show cast gathering, he hugged actor Mikey Madison and promptly walked off stage instead of mingling with the rest of the cast.
When asked about the awkward moment during Caleb Pressley’s Sundae Conversation, Wallen cleared the air.
“Seriously, SNL, did they make you mad?” Pressley asked.
“No, no I was just ready to go home,” Wallen replied. “I’d been there all week.”
Reports later suggested Wallen had declined to take part in a pre-taped sketch, with Joe Jonas stepping in as a last-minute replacement.
