Dolly Parton is heading back to Las Vegas—and fans couldn’t be more thrilled!
The country legend announced on Monday, June 23, that she’s set for a limited residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace this December, with six exclusive shows. This marks her first Vegas appearance in over three decades. “To say I’m excited would be an understatement,” the 79-year-old shared. “I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there.”
She also dropped the news on Instagram, writing, “Grab your rhinestones, Vegas is calling! I’m taking over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, a limited-run engagement from December 4-13. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, June 25th at 10 am PT.” The post included a glitzy promo shot of Dolly in a gold jumpsuit, guitar in hand, lit up on stage.
Fans flooded the comments with excitement and jokes. “There goes my 401K,” one wrote. Another added, “Listen, you need to give us more notice than two days so we can get our financial affairs in order!” And someone even pitched a clever rename: “There appears to be a missed opportunity to call this the Dollosseum.”
Dolly: Live in Las Vegas is officially set for December 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, and 13—right in the heart of National Finals Rodeo season. Fans lucky enough to snag a seat can expect a powerhouse lineup of classics like “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Coat of Many Colors.” Both general admission and VIP packages will be up for grabs.
Parton’s last Vegas run was back in the ‘80s at the Riviera Hotel and later at the Mirage in 1993. Reflecting on the city in a 2022 chat with The Tennessean, she said, “It’s a magical city, and I love how much the city celebrates entertainment. It’s hot out there, though, so besides the shows and the casinos, there’s really not a whole lot to do.” Lucky for her—and her fans—this time around she’s hitting the stage during the much cooler desert winter.
