Taylor Swift made her way back to Nashville to support her boyfriend of two years, Travis Kelce, at his blowout charity concert.
During the event, country star Kane Brown got caught up in a surprise duet with the 35-year-old “Fortnight” hitmaker — and couldn’t resist poking fun at the moment on Instagram.
“When you think you’re the special guest BUT you’re not,” Brown, 31, joked in his caption, adding a laughing emoji. The photo he posted on Tuesday, June 24, featured Brown sandwiched between the power couple — flashing a peace sign with a big smile, while Kelce stood on his left in a black cowboy hat, and Swift mirrored the peace sign on his right.
The concert, Tight Ends & Friends, was part of Tight End University — a training program founded by Kelce, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen to mentor upcoming NFL tight ends. Proceeds from the concert benefit several charitable causes.
Luke Combs, Graham Barham, Chase Rice, Sophia Scott, and Jordan Davis also hit the stage at the star-studded event held at the Brooklyn Bowl. Kane Brown closed out the night, and just as he was hyping up the crowd for his final song, Taylor Swift made a surprise entrance.
Swift joined Brown for an unexpected duet of “Shake It Off,” strumming her guitar as they lit up the stage together, according to multiple Instagram clips. She rocked a short black dress cinched at the waist with matching boots, fully owning the moment.
“Give it up for this amazing band, who just figured out they were going to play that three minutes ago,” Swift told the audience as their performance wrapped. “You guys have a lovely evening. Thank you, Kane Brown.”
The internet couldn’t get enough. Fans flooded Brown’s comments:
“A country star, a football star, and a queen walk into a Nashville bar…” one joked.
“MY HEART IS EXPLODING,” another gushed.
“My favorite 3 people,” added a third.
