Offset isn’t here for any Drake slander and made that crystal clear in the middle of the drama stirred up by T-Pain’s recent comments.
On Thursday, June 26, Complex posted an Instagram update about T-Pain calling out Drake for not following his own advice about stepping away from the music scene “gracefully.” While fans were quick to jump in with their takes, Offset stood out with a pointed defense of the 6 God.
“Da Boy is da boy shit ain’t gone change,” Offset wrote in the comments. “All dat hating on another grown man who does more numbers than everybody is Diabolical !!!!”
Though he didn’t directly name T-Pain, Offset’s words were clearly aimed at shutting down the growing chatter surrounding the situation. One thing’s for sure: Offset’s riding for Drake, no questions asked.

On a recent episode of the Crash Dummies podcast, T-Pain shared that Drake once inspired him to bow out of the music scene gracefully — but now feels the 6 God hasn’t followed his own advice.
“One thing I learned from Drake, but one thing he hasn’t followed his own words,” T-Pain began. “Drake said, ‘I wanna be one of them people that gracefully bow out and not get kicked out.’”
T-Pain joked that he’s taken that message to heart: “I’ve ever since said, ‘Thank y’all, I appreciate y’all. I’ll see y’all when I drop — don’t worry about it, I’ll just drop something. Let me know if you heard it.’” But then he took a jab, saying Drake has been doing the opposite: “Drake is like, ‘No, listen. OK, I got another one. Hold on, check this out. Y’all ain’t like that one? OK, real quick, just one more.’”
Drake wasn’t here for it. Reacting to the clip in the comments of a TorontoRappers post, he fired back: “This guy always had resentment for me You can hear it every time he speaks on my name.”
Offset quickly stepped in to defend his longtime collaborator and friend. Dropping a comment under a Complex post about the drama, he wrote, “Da Boy is da boy shit ain’t gone change. All dat hating on another grown man who does more numbers than everybody is Diabolical !!!!”
Offset’s loyalty to Drake runs deep. Their connection goes all the way back to 2013 when Drake hopped on the Migos’ breakout track “Versace.” In 2023, Offset reflected on how much that moment changed his life—especially since he was in jail at the time and didn’t immediately realize the impact of the collab.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Offset recalled how his jail visitation list suddenly filled up with girls after the remix dropped: “Then all of a sudden, downstairs, they like, ‘You got six visits.’ I’m like, ‘I got six visits?’… And I’m like oh shit. I’m kinda like, what the fuck is going on? My mother is like son, it’s a lot of girls. I’m like mom, I don’t know. I just put them on the list. They just pulling up.”
No doubt—Offset’s respect for Drake is rooted in both music and personal history.
