During her performance at Houston’s NRG Stadium, Beyoncé’s “flying” car unexpectedly malfunctioned, forcing her to be safely brought down.
The incident happened on June 28 while she was performing “16 Carriages.” The car, which was suspended mid-air above the audience, suddenly tilted sharply, creating a tense moment during the show.
Beyoncé quickly stopped her performance mid-song when her suspended car began to malfunction. “Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop,” she said firmly into the mic, signaling her team to pause the show. Despite the technical glitch, she stayed calm and reassured fans with a composed, “Thank y’all for your patience.”
Her team wasted no time in lowering the tilted vehicle safely back to the stage. Once on solid ground, Beyoncé continued with “16 Carriages” and delivered it flawlessly. Wrapping up, she gave a heartfelt shoutout to the crowd: “I want to thank y’all for loving me. If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me.”
With another Cowboy Carter show happening tonight at the same venue, fans are hoping that the floating car gets sorted out quickly. The tour continues with multiple stops in Landover and Atlanta before it wraps up in Paradise, Nevada, on July 26.
Meanwhile, fans in Paris got a treat of a different kind last week. At her final show at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, Beyoncé was joined onstage by Jay-Z for a surprise performance of “Crazy In Love” and “Ni**as in Paris.”
