Drake took to Instagram with a shirtless snap, showing off his sculpted abs and letting the world know he’s deep in his fitness grind.
Alongside a clip of his running routine, the Toronto rapper dropped a poetic caption about hustle and discipline: “I’m wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just …type.”
Drake’s grind isn’t limited to the gym—he’s also locked in on his next album, Iceman. In a now-deleted Instagram Story, he shared a photo of a wooden surface with “Iceman 2025” carved into it, hinting that the project is slated to drop this year.
Back in May, Drake first dropped hints about the album title by posting a series of photos—himself, some icy bling, a snowy landscape painting, and a signed George Gervin jersey. That final image stood out, especially since Gervin is famously known as “The Iceman,” adding more weight to the album’s icy theme.
While gearing up for his Iceman album, Drake is also riding the high of his smash hit “Nokia.” The track, from his joint project with PartyNextDoor titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, has been crowned the unofficial Song of the Summer—even though it dropped right in the middle of winter.
By April, “Nokia” was already eligible for platinum status from the RIAA just two months after release. That same month, it hit No. 1 on Apple’s Top 100: Global chart. Drake’s longtime friend and collaborator Preme took to social media to celebrate the moment, saying, “They said we were dead. They said it was over. They said Super Bowl was checkmate. They said he should take a few years off and disappear. Back on top even while beefing with the label and it’s only April! This why y’all hate the boy.”
Drake’s got no shortage of defenders lately. After T-Pain threw shade about Drake not retiring from rap, Offset jumped into the conversation, commenting on the situation with: “Da Boy is da boy shit ain’t gone change. All dat hating on another grown man who does more numbers than everybody is Diabolical!!!!”
