Some go for flowers, others pen love songs—but Pete Davidson went the luxury route.
On Friday, June 27, the 31-year-old comedian dropped over $30,000 at the newly opened Gerald Peters Watch & Jewelry showroom in his hometown of Staten Island, all to surprise his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt.
Davidson was the showroom’s very first customer, arriving early for a private tour before picking out a Rolex Datejust 41 in Oystersteel and Everose gold, complete with diamond hour markers—and a hefty $18,550 price tag.
Pete Davidson didn’t stop at just one luxury timepiece. According to Page Six, the former SNL star also surprised his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, 29, with the 31mm version of the same Rolex — complete with the same gold and signature Rolex flair — adding another $12,400 to the bill.
“Pete was in an awesome mood, cracking jokes, chatting watches, and taking photos with friends,” a source shared. Another attendee added, “He couldn’t have been sweeter… he was proud of the store and kept talking about how much he loves supporting Staten Island.”
This isn’t the couple’s first time twinning, either. In May, Hewitt posted a photo on her Instagram Story showing off their matching black-and-white Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro OGs with a” emoji. And before that, the two were spotted courtside at a Knicks vs. Suns game, rocking black leather jackets and matching Dr. Martens.
Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt’s relationship, which began in March, seems to be heating up.
“Pete and Elsie have been living together in New York for the past few months,” a source told People.
“They’re splitting their time between Pete’s house in upstate New York and a brownstone they recently started renting in Brooklyn…. They’re so happy together and doing great.”
Pete Davidson, who’s been linked to Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Kim Kardashian, and more, has previously addressed the constant spotlight on his dating life.
“I’m in my 20s and I’ve dated people. And for some reason, that’s very crazy and interesting to people,” he said during a 2023 appearance on the Real Ones podcast. “I’ve been in show business for, like, half my life almost — for 14 or 15 years and on a national TV show. In 12 years I’ve dated 10 people. I don’t think that’s that crazy, but to some people, that’s very interesting. That became all anyone would talk about.”
Elsie Hewitt has also had her share of high-profile romances, having previously been linked to Jason Sudeikis, Benny Blanco, and Ryan Phillippe.
